Same pizza you can get anywhere, nothing special. Wings are dry. Atmosphere is poor. No A/C inside on a hot day. We were literally the only people there on a Friday night.

This place is a big ? To me. Food not great. And how do you mix Italian food with Spanish or Mexican food. Our whatever it suppose to be. Be one or b the other!!!!!! Def would not come back here. If i want some kind of Spanish or Mexican food I will go to a Spanish or Mexican place. Same goes for if I want Italian food!!!!!. Not to mention the service was horrible. And the pizza well I rather go to dominos.

What can I say about my new favorite pizza restaurant? We just moved to the Deerfield Beach area and searched on YELP for pizza. Lucky we went with the reviews and decided to visit El Tamarindo. We were graciously welcomed and that was the beginning of a long term relationship. We ordered a pizza to go and sat and had a draught beer while we waited. We met Jackson who was the manager who graciously made us a small sample of one the other in house specialties. I have to say the flavors and lightness of the ( eggplant) was excellent. We also had a sample of the homemade bread served with a flavorful olive oil and garlic dipping topping. Next time we are going for dinner and ordering one of the main courses for a meal of deliciousness.

Had a delightful dinner here about a month ago. IT start with a complimentary cup of crab broth which was absolutely delicious. The manager talked me into trying the carne asada, which was delicious (and unexpected in an Italian restaurant and even the decaf cappuccino was wonderful.

El Tamarino's is a local gem! The only problem is it's hard to choose what to eat. The chef salad was delicious and comparable to Guiliana's salad from RPM. Mango Thai salad is even better...the avocado and peanuts complimented the mango beautifully. The eggplant tower was DIVINE. Pizza portions are huge and the cheese, spinach and sun dried tomato pizza was delicious with buttery, thick crust. Rack of lamb was full of flavor and had lovely pairings of mashed potatoes and steamed spinach. Coconut flan had great texture and the caramel drizzle and whipped creme additions added to the nice presentation. Best part about our meal was the staff! They were all so friendly, helpful and personable. Definitely worth the visit!

Very good. You can tell quality ingredients. I only had a calzone, but it was nice and tasted exceptional. The owner seemed nice and very interested in making me satisfied , although there was a drop dead gorgeous Brazilian bombshell that worked there, she was friendly and nice as well.

We were on way to ikea when we stopped here and glad we did. I had the breaded chicken and my husband had the fish. My children shared pizza. Everything was delicious. They sent us soup on the house to start which was a nice gesture. The service was excellent as well. They give you hot bread with a delicious oil mixture to dip. I will definitely be back! Can't wait.

Love it. This place is home for us. We have only lived in Florida for a year now and finding a place that has good food and great service is hard to find here but Tamarindo has it. We first started with Pizza because of the reviews we saw on yelp and they were spot on, the pizza is so good here. Our two favorites are the Marg and one that we create with these 5 toppings: prosciutto, meatball, pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom, just thinking about it makes my mouth water. After we tried the pizza a few times we finally decided to try other things from the menu and they have all been excellent from the ceviche to the soups to the pastas to the churassco, everything is delicious. Beyond the food the staff is outstanding, they have become like family to us here. They have a few beers on tap and a very reasonably priced wine menu. This is in my opinion the best restaurant in Deerfield.

Pizzas are amazing! And their skirt steak is to die for! It may be a little hard to find but it is a great spot for locals and the staff was super friendly, attentive and a pleasure to dine with. I'm a total foodie and I must say this was one of the best restaurants I go to!

Amazing place with great flavors. Much more than pizza. They feature full menu of classic Italian dishes along with Mexican / Spanish. Hard to choose but I went with: Crab soup - incredible flavor Ceviche - best in town served with tostones. Churassco steak - perfectly cooked with crunchy edge in chimichurri sauce. Clean interior with friendly good service. Incredible value for the quality. Well worth the drive from Boca.

This is the 3rd location for this family owned restaurants! The same Tamarindo menu goodness just a lot closer now! What I really enjoy about this place is the mix of classic Spanish and Italian fare.. So if you're in the mood for Chicken Francese and your spouse wants Churrasco with rice and beans.. You don't have to compromise! You just go to Tamarindo!!

I'm currently on a diet that allows me one cheat day a week, so when I have that day, I want whatever I eat to satisfy my cravings for the entire week. I ordered a pizza with olives and pepperoni and the fried zucchini. Boy did that make my cheat day worth it! The pizza was just the right amount of gooey and cheesy. The sauce was garlicky, but a little thin for my taste. Thankfully the fried zucchini came with a giant cup of more delicious marinara so I poured it on my pizza and got just to the right level of sauciness for me. The best part was the crust. Tasted like they use rosemary in the dough, making it crunchy and satisfying, like a breadstick at the end of a cheesy rainbow. The fried zucchini was also good, but wouldn't order it for delivery, as it got a bit soggy on the trip, but I am sure it would be light and crunchy if I were to sit down at the restaurant. All in all, for the short time I'm living in Deerfield Beach, I've found my pizza place.

Incredibly friendly service, food that is tasty and fresh and prices that are fair. Great place to dine in, or to take out from. Have had the pleasure on several occasions to sample the menu; was so pleased to find that in addition to the wonderful fare, there is a great wine list. This is the new favorite haunt!

Good Food, good prices, great service. Edgar our waiter was fantastic, gave us free wine samples...excellent tasting wine. He also gave us a free dessert to sample, which was like a flan cheese cake...smooth and creamy.

5 stars for food and service. Skirt steak, pizza, calamari, and eggplant appetizer were excellent. Atmosphere pulls down the rating.

Best pizza in town, I wasn't expecting this place to be as good as it was. Their pizza is very tasty and perfectly cheesed. Will be ordering from here much more often. Thanks el tamarindo

This place is fantastic. Our server Jackson went above and beyond. He treated us to complimentary beef stew, Amazing! The Caprese was on point. Then Jackson treated me to a fun size portion of the carne asada, amazing! Our pizza was wonderful, then Jackson treated us to coconut flan. I'm now stuffed with a smile. Best service I've EVER had. Absolutely will be a regular here. Thank you El Tamarindo, you've out dome yourself!

Stopped by for a quick lunch with the family, was amazed at how good the food was and how friendly everyone was as well. Have not been to their other restaurants, but glad they are now in my area. They have done a nice job decorating, big upgrade from the old restaurant at this location.

This place is awesome. Jackson insisted on my wife and I sampling some of their specialties whole we waited for our food. The chef salad, chicken soup, homemade focaccia bread and even some sushi. All of it was phenomenal. You must have some of the focaccia garlic bread, you will not be disappointed. We actually went there for pizza and it was just as good as everyone yelped. We will definitely be back to try some of the other menu choices.

The food was good- the pizza is very light and not overly greasy which I am a fan of. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The only downside to our experience is kind of funny actually- we thought the staff was too overbearing and checked in on us too much. There was at least 3 different waiters checking in on us and none of them communicated with each other so it lead to being checked in on once, then literally 45 seconds later- someone else also checks - then 3 minutes later another one comes along and asks the same thing. Then the owner came over and made small talk with us which was nice- but it prompted the waiters to check on us even more. It got comical at first but then it became impossible for us to enjoy our meal and have a steady stream of conversation without being interrupted. Never thought I would say attentive service is a bad thing- but when done to the extreme it certainly is. I hope the management reads this and tones down their staff - there is a fine line to when checking in with a guest is too much and each one of the staff had crossed it. Its a shame because the food is really great and the environment is pleasing. Fix this small flaw and I will be a client for life!

Not just pizza!! Cuisine is perfect. We came for pizza, now I'm back everyday for their perfect selection of Italian and Latin entrees available in deerfield beach. I have sampled and tasted everything on the menu. I am in the biz for 10 years and have been to every restaurant from Miami to Boca. Do yourself a favor and stop by here.

Several months ago my neighbor raved about the new restaurant up the street, El Tamarindo Pizza. I wasn't in the mood for pizza, but that's o.k. Since they have soups, pasta salads, steak and seafood. Wile I was waiting on my to-go order ( chicken piccata- which was delicious ) they had me sample the Mariscada soup. It was simply amazing. Jackson also brought the chef salad and bread for me to try, all were wonderful. I'll definitely be back and bringing friends next time!

The food alone should get 10 stars. It was fresh and wonderful to look at. Then you take a bite and are amazed how good it really is. The staff is extremely courteous. They want to make it a great dining experience. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming. The menu has a good selection at great prices. You will not find a better restaurant around. I highly recommend you try it. You will be back.

This place is a hidden gem. I say hidden, because up till a few days ago I never even heard of the place. I feel cheated that I have missed out on so many amazing meals. My wife and I ordered a pizza and to our surprise more food came with it. They delivery guy said that because it was our first time ordering they wanted to send us a sample of other foods to try. It all was absolutely amazing. The pizza was quite possibly the best pizza i have eaten in the last few years and the steak dish they sent was ridiculously good. I would have never in a million years think about ordering a steak to be delivered until now. It was cooked to perfection and delicious. They could have just delivered the pizza and we would have been happy but by sending us a sample they have new lifetime customers. In fact I will be ordering from them tonight!!

What a find-- The owner, Jackson, was so gracious and came by our table to introduce himself and treat us to a complimentary sample of the carne asada and corn tamale. Both were delicious; for anyone who loves corn, the tamale is a must-- sweet enough to enjoy for dessert and served with homemade sour cream. My husband and I couldn't decide on our entrees, so we decided to order both the chicken Marsala (recommended by our server) and the chicken Siciliana. Again, both were superb. The Siciliana was not exactly what we expected from the menu description (in other words, don't order it if you are looking for something "light"), but had both of us raving about it-- a thinly pounded but generous portion of chicken breast topped with delectable breaded eggplant, yummy tomato sauce, and cheese. For dessert, we shared their homemade coconut flan-- not bad, though I would have appreciated more coconut flavor and less sweetness; it was also denser than the flans I am used to. Accompanied it with a first-rate decaf cortadito. Definitely coming back here soon, next time with friends!

(4.5 stars) I order for delivery the Mariscada En Crema Soup (Seafood soup in cream) which was absolutely delicious! (A definite must have!) and my sister had the Tamarindo Special - churassco, chicken, shrimp with rice and beans. The rice and beans needed a little salt & pepper to be added for flavor, but other than that we were satisfied with our order. Delivery was handle in a fast timely manner. We will definitely be ordering again!

There really ought to be a 0 or negative stars. Ordered lunch for my office staff... 1) as a pizza place, their ovens were not working. They were able to make an entire pie in a regular conventional oven, but were unable to heat up a slice. 2) Do not use their online menu, as it is outdated and they do not offer 3/4 of what the menu states. 3) Missing items from the order is reprehensible. 4) The items described, that they actually do have, are not what they are described. For instance, the The Tamarindo Chef Salad with Chicken has NO CHICKEN!!!! The lettuce was not crisp. 5) Carne Asada was like rubber, fatty and undercooked. 6) The Garlic Rolls were without garlic and tasted as if they were defrosted and put in a microwave. 7) The staff stated that they have 4 locations and the owner is trying to fix the website and menu problems...but this has been ongoing. On a positive side, they did not screw up the coca-cola in the cans. To say my office was disappointed is an understatement. Stay away from this place unless you enjoy wrongly made, crappy food.

The house wines are to die for and they give you a nice deal if you take a bottle home. As far as food goes they have something for every palette. I devoured the yoga pizza and the thai dressing on the salad had me salivating. The owner, Jackson, was so welcoming and friendly definitely coming back with friends.

Awesome food and great service. We had eaten at another El Tamarindo location and had a wonderful experience there, so we thought we'd give this location a try. The food is absolutely delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Matheus, our server, was super friendly and attentive - he suggested that we try the homemade hot pepper mix on our pizza and I loved it! He offered to give me a small bit to take home with my left over pizza slice, so I got to enjoy it (with tears in my eyes and running nose) the next day too. Everything on the menu looks so tasty that I want to try everything - I guess I'll just have to keep going back! There are so many selections of Latin/Italian food that I'm sure anyone would find something to love here.

I ordered from here a couple of times and had mixed reviews but the last time was the last straw. 1. The first time I ordered I thought the pizza was good, not great but good for Florida. 2. The second time I ordered we tried the chicken parmigiana heroes. They weren't heroes but baked in a calzone type she'll. not bad until I found the 2 foot long hair that I was chewing on. It was like the hair that wouldn't end as I pulled it out of my mouth and proceeded to throw the food out. I might add that I ordered a 2 liter coke but they didn't have any left so they decided to give me two cans of soda instead at the 2 liter price, thanks for the screwing. I called and spoke to Juan Carlos. He apologized and wanted to send me new heroes but at that point I was somewhat nauseated. He told me next time I ordered ask for him and he will send me these chicken thing s at no charge. He was good to his word and I ordered them and it was no charge. 3. I went back to pizza after the harrowing chicken experience and once again was thoroughly disappointed again. I order a large pie with sausage and a 2 liter soda. When I received the pizza if fit in the box nice and there was about 2 inches of clearance on all sides. I pay for a large pie and they put this undersized pizza in the box. Paid for a large, got the large box, small pizza in it. This was the last straw for me. El Tamarindo should change their name to El Terrible.

Got to say being from NJ (and working in NYC) you can get very spoiled with the many excellent places to choose from. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the pizza tastes! After trying a few places in the area this is the best one. We ordered that evenings to go special, great value. Got a regular cheese pizza, good amount of cheese and sauce ratio. Crust was medium to thin had a good crispy outer edge. The service is polite quick and friendly. I noticed that they were fairly busy considering it was a Tuesday night. The dinning area is warm and inviting and has a few TV's playing sports/ news.

The food here is really delicious. I've patronized the original Broward location several times and always had a great meal, so I was delighted to find the new location in Deerfield, which is a lot closer to home. Have never tried the Italian food as I'm a bit afraid I'll admit, but the churrasco, carne asada, grilled chicken, rice and beans are all terrific. Vegetable sides and salads are freshly prepared. Desserts are also very good as is the service. Prices are very moderate. If it was any closer I'd be doing takeout regularly. Now to muster up the courage to try their pizza.....

Visited El Tamarindo Pizza in Deerfield Beach for the first time yesterday and I loved it! The food was delicious.. I ordered the chicken francese, white rice, red beans and tostones. I literally ate the whole thing lol!! The service is amazing, Oriana, thank you for being so sweet and attentive. I will definitely be returning!!

I've been coming here usually to pick a pizza after work, if I leave late and don't feel like making dinner. It's convenient because it's on the way. The food itself is decent. The pizza is thin and flavorful. They call it coal fired, but it's really not; it's made in a regular pizza oven. Other than pizza, the plates we've had have been great, no complains there. As far as service goes, I can't say for sure, which is why I've hesitated to review until now. When we order a pizza after work, it's always to go, between 6:30 to 7:30 pm and the place is usually empty. Because of this, they focus on you more. The first time I ate there was with family on a Friday night around 8pm, it was just us and maybe 2 other people. The second time was 2 nights ago, also a Friday night and for the first time since I've been there, there, there were a decent amount of people! We had 2 waiters, which was strange. One would take drinks order and then the other would come and try to do the same. When he found out that's we'd put them in already, then he went ahead and asked if we were ready to order food.... o.O Overall, I'm happy with this little place enough to come back a couple nights a month.

Was the only place open on a Sunday until 11 pm so we ordered delivery it was kind of a steep price for a large pizza and calamari 33 dollars and the pizza was not all that great the cheese was falling off the pizza maybe the other food they serve is better

We went in at 10:30 and they close 11:00 we felt bad because we were the only ones there and didnt wanna hold them up but I believe it was the owner was more than welcoming to us. Very cute place and I got the churrasco steak it was delicious! Very friendly guy and even gave us a complimentry glass of wine each. I will definitely be back to try their pizza soon!

Wow what a place! Truly a best kept secret! I use yelp often but today I had to join yelp just to make sure I could share our great experience at this restaurant. Everything was incredibly seasoned and fresh. Such great taste. Also well priced. We highly recommend the tamarindo special; steak, chicken, shrimp with rice. Exquisite! Also make sure to try the tamarindo juice. And the service...excellent!!! Owner was very professional and personable. Great staff. We will surely return. (Wifi was a plus! We were able to play a video on the iPad to entertain the kids while we enjoyed dinner;)

I used to go to the El Tamariando in Fort Lauderdale, and I absolutely loved it there (some may even say obsessed). I never knew that we had a El Tamariando here until my husband saw it while passing by one day. I was happily surprised that the food was exactly like the Fort Lauderdale location, if not better. The owner, Jackson, is a sweet and kind gentleman and always welcomes my husband and I as if we are family. I am so happy to have a location near us with great food, staff, and atmosphere. TIPS: Try their Tamarian juice if you like sweet and sour drinks and/or food, and also their Thai salad (AMAZING and not something you would expect from a Salvadorian restaurant).

Super delicious. Prompt delivery. Highly recommend this restaurant. Owner is very professional and polite. And did I say the pizza was DELICIOUS! The salad pizza is Unique and tasty. Last weekend we had the 5 topping pizza with prosciutto, spinach, onions, ricotta, and Italian sausage.... it was amazing.

This location of El Tamarindo holds nothing back. The pizza is excellent but don't let that fool you. Every dish I have had is great starting with the appetizers and salads. The Chef Salad is as good if not better than any you can get in or out of town. The Skirt Steak leaves you feeling the same way as well. El Tamarindo also does seafoods and pastas just how you want it. If you haven't been it is a must try.

I came here a few weeks ago from a recommendation of the guy at my hotel. I was very pleased. Food was great and staff very friendly. I did take out and order was hot and accurate. I was back in the area and because the last experience was so good I decided to go back. The menu is so diversified you can eat there every day for weeks and never have the same thing twice. I was again very happy with my order and again a very friendly staff. Would defiantly recommend if you are a traveler or a local. Lucky locals!

The ceviche is wonderful and fresh. This is a very well-kept secret location. Although seems elegant, the atmosphere is casual and kids and families and groups feel good. I mainly go here for the pizza. They have a delicious spinach and goat cheese combination that is spectacular, but the menu items are also great. I've been here before with my wife and a few friends and they loved it. If you do get the ceviche the one single appetizer portion is more than enough for two people as a meal

Thought I was going to a pizza joint, WOW was I wrong. This place has a great mix of cuisines from Italy, France, Latin America, and a few other countries. Definitely going back! Great food, good service, nice atmosphere. Jackson, thank you for running a delicious restaurant. You have made me into a regular customer! My suggestion is don't be like I was and keep passing this place by. You won't regret it.... It is more than just pizza. It has many things to choose from with reasonable prices

A must go! Found this place on yelp and so glad we tried it. It will be a new spot for us. Had the chicken parm and shrimp scampi ( does not come with paste), both were delicious!!! Can't wait to go again.

This place is one of my favorites! Their soup is amazing! Reminds me of the chicken soup my mom makes! I love their pizza, this is my favorite place for margherita pizza! Their service is wonderful too! I stopped and ordered a pizza and they gave me salad soup and wine while I waited! They always make me feel welcomed and spoiled! I also ate pasta from here and it was delicious too! One of the best restaurants in Deerfield Beach!

Stopped in while on a business trip to the area; saw the amazing reviews and wasn't disappointed. Wonderful service; complimentary soup as a first-time diner. Had the chicken parmigiana, which was perfectly prepared with sauce clearly like mama used to make. Even the complimentary bread and tapenade were fantastic. The toasted coconut flan is a must. I am just sad I couldn't try the tres leches from having eaten everything they put in front of me. These people really care about the food they serve and the experience had by their diners. I simply cannot recommend this restaurant any higher; I only wish they had a sixth star to give as they earned it!

Awesome dinner. Really great service. Staff and manager came over to introduce themselves. Bread and garlic dip is so tasty! Pizza was spot on, crust sauce cheese ratio was perfect. Chicken cacciatore was amazing, veggies and noodles really filled me up. Definitely going to go back soon.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
